States of Matter
There are three states of matter, in Earth, there are solid, liquid, and gas. Out of Earth, like in the Sun we can find a four state of matter that is called plasma. But on Earth we cand find plasma in lightning, and boreal lights. Each of this have different properties that difference them from the others.
Solid has its molecules very compact, this makes them have a definite shape, and a definite volume. In solids the particles can't move freely throught the substance they are in. In some solids the shape can be changed, but not in all. And in the ones you can chage it, is difficult to do it.

For instance molecules in a liquid aren't so close together, so this means they adapt to the shape of the container. They don't have a definite shape, so if you put liquid iin a rectangular base, the liquid will absorb the same rectangular shape of its container.
Gas is another state of matter, in this case the molecules are still more far apart than in liquid. The gasess have not shape, or volume. The gas particles need too much space, because they are in constant moving. So if they are in a very tiny container, they will be very tight together, and they could cause and explosion.
The last state of matter, that is called plasma, same as gas plasma don't have a shpe or volume. Also like gasess plasma is less dense than solids, and also less dense than liquid. Plasma is like a gas, but the difference is that plasma has electricity. The most common state of matter in all the universe is plasma.
